'Compulsive Viewing: The Films Of Guy Bourdin' showcases eleven unique fashion films, edited in 2002-2003 from never-before-seen, archival film recorded by the photographer Guy Bourdin. Exposing and exploring Bourdin's grasp of the moving image, this legacy of cinefilms is a stellar example of how a photographer's aesthetic can translates to fashion film.
Recorded during shoots over Bourdin's thirty-five year career, these eleven films were created with original cinefilm released to SHOWstudio by the Bourdin estate as a motion image accompaniment to the major Guy Bourdin retrospective at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (17 April-17 August 2003) and its international tour.
